Kalki 2898 AD surpasses Jawan to become fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time
In a significant achievement, Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed Jawan to become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time at the domestic box office. The Prabhas-starring science-fiction drama has collected ₹640.6 crore nett in 40 days, edging out Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which earned ₹640.25 crore nett over its entire run in India.

Film’s Performance and Future
Despite this achievement, Kalki 2898 AD did not surpass Baahubali 2, which remains the highest-grossing film in Prabhas’s career, nor did it overtake KGF 2 and RRR in the overall collection rankings. The film continues to perform well in theaters even in its sixth week but is not expected to set further records.
The Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD has outperformed the Telugu version, generating approximately ₹350 crore gross and ₹290 crore nett, while the Telugu version has made around ₹335 crore gross. The Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have collectively earned about ₹75 crore gross.
Upcoming Release on OTT
Kalki 2898 AD is expected to make its OTT debut on Prime Video from August 23, although this has not yet been officially confirmed by the makers. The film’s theatrical run is now concluded, and it is anticipated that its digital release will continue to draw attention.
